We conduct studies of the safe use of gas products and facilities. We also work with universities and research communities to acquire world-class safety technologies that are directly applicable to industrial sites.

Research on Hydrogen Energy Safety Technology

As hydrogen energy is a necessary energy for future energy security and ecofriendly policy, we conduct a full range of safety studies from hydrogen production to storage, hydrogen filling, and fuel cell use. To expand the supply of hydrogen filling stations, we support technology development to domestic companies. We also research hydrogen energy safety technology.

Safety Assessment Technology Research

We present reasonable safety standards for national industrial facilities by developing systems for evaluating and preventing risks of accidents of gas facilities.

Equipment Technology Research

We develop equipment technologies to prevent accidents in gas facilities and advanced production and inspection technologies that meet the international standards to maximize the efficiency of gas facility safety management.

High-Pressure Equipment Testing and Evaluation Center

We are developing safety evaluation technology for high- pressure vessels and parts, and conducting performance certification tests for domestic and overseas products to preempt technologies in high-pressure equipment testing.

Combustion Technology and Installation Standard Research

We are committed to developing high-efficiency, low-pollution combustion technologies and installation standards for gas combustion apparatuses for greater safety.

Future Energy Safety Technology Research

We establish an institutional basis for the safe use of future energy such as bio, alternative gas, etc., and conduct research on new elds such as safety research on P2G (power to gas) using renewable energy such as solar and wind energy.

  • We are taking the lead in the development of inspection technologies and standards by developing technologies for the safe use of toxic gas.
  • We are enhancing the effectiveness of fire and explosion prevention by developing and certifying the safety evaluation technologies needed for explosion-proof products and facilities.
